off-screen. She used that image of hers to portray her character of a
spoilt brat in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ with absolute charm.

Hema Malini beautifully portrayed the feisty twin’s role in the movie
‘Seeta aur Geeta’ and when contrasted with the submissive counterpart of
hers, she shone even brighter. The movie is still watched and
remembered and is reportedly being remade with Katrina Kaif in the lead.

Preity is known as a tomboy even in real life as affirmed by her family
and friends. And her roles in movies like ‘Kya Kehna’ & ‘Salaam
Namaste’ have furthered that image. Seems like she is a natural!

Kangana’s role in ‘Tanu weds Manu’ was the epitome of tomboyishness. And
she did complete justice to it as the quintessential UP girl who was
outgoing, rebellious, drank, smoked and swore even when wearing a
traditional salwaar kameez.

Amrita Rao doesn’t come off as a typical tomboy but she used that to her
advantage and surprised everybody with her outing in ‘Main Hoon Na’.
Her punk and gothic appearance completed the role.

Katrina Kaif is probably one of the most successful and sought after
actresses of Bollywood at the moment. Despite her ‘sexy’ tag, she
successfully portrayed the role of a tomboy in the movie ‘New York’
& ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.
