The rebooted version of Spiderman series will have an Indian connect. Bollywood actor is all set to play the new super-villain Proto Goblin.
In an earlier interview, Khan had confessed his his initial reluctance to sign on for the Spider-Man reboot as he 'didn’t want to be part of this violent American fantasy,' and agreed to star in on one condition – he wouldn’t play either a masked villain or sci-fi monster.
Though his role will be an important one, it won’t require him to play the red-skinned, yellow-haired Proto-Goblin.
The Proto-Goblin, like many super villains, is a normal human being who morphs into an evil incarnation.
Irrfan is one of the few stars to have made it big in Hollywood. Right from his first film ‘Salaam Bombay’ where he had a small part to play. The film even went on to be nominated for the Oscars.
